Clinical Counselling

Our Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) is now providing individual counselling services to children, adolescents, and young adults aged 5 to 26 years old. For younger children, the initial session typically includes the parent(s)/caregiver(s). Any client under the age of 19 years requires parental/legal guardian consent to participate in counselling. If parents are legally separated or divorced, both parties must provide consent to proceed.

Sessions may focus on a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression/sadness, grief, attention/concentration and hyperactivity, parental separation and/or other life transitions, social and relationship difficulties, behavioural and school related problems, and emotion management concerns, among others. 

In-person sessions are recommended with young clients. It allows our clinicians to better keep the youth's attention during sessions. Additionally, our office has numerous resources available, such as games, toys, puzzles, and colouring, which can be utilized during sessions.
